Isa Leshko [Houston] had 5 prints from her Thrills & Chills series purchased by the Boston Public Library for their permanent print collection. She is also featured in the 12th issue of Fraction Magazine along with Susan Hayre Thelwell [Santa Fe, NM].

Loli Kantor's [Fort Worth] portfolio, There Was A Forest, will be featured in the upcoming LensWork, March/April issue no. 87, and LensWork Extended and the image Alfred and Veronika Shreyer won Honorable Mention at the World Wide Photography Gala Awards and will be a part of the exhibition at the in Malaga, Spain May 2010.

Charles Corda [Coconut Grove, FL] had 11 images published in the inaugural issue of Photo Paper Magazine.

Aline Smithson [Los Angeles, CA] recently participated in two auctions that raised monies to send relief to Haiti, the Life Support Auction organized by Wallspace Gallery in Seattle, and the Charity Print Auction hosted through Flickr, as well as the Project 5 Auction held at the Stephen Cohen Gallery, which raised funds for Child Labor around the globe. Aline also received anHonorable Mention in the Power of Self Competition through Artist's Wanted.

Sean McCormick [Washington D.C.x] currently has a series of photographs in the March issue of Smithsonian Magazine to accompany the opening of the Human Origins Exhibit at the Natural History Museum. Susan de Witt [Bainbridge Island, WA] was chosen to be in the PhotoSpiva 34th Annual National Photographic Competition 2010 for an image from her series Mirage.

Husband and wife, Michael A. Smith and Paula Chamlee [Ottsville, PA] have just published a new book, Chicago: Loop/Chicago: Lake. It is their first joint book that has work from both For information: www.lodimapress.com/html/chicago.html.

Rania Matar [Brookline, MA] was reviewed by Susan Burnstine [Los Angeles, CA] for her book Ordinary Lives in Photo-Eye Magazine. www.photoeye.com/magazine/reviews/2010/01_18_Ordinary_Lives.cfm. She also had her work, A Girl in her Room reviewed and Ordinary Lives featured on the Black Snapper, an online photography website based in Amsterdam.

Marydorsey Wanless [Topeka, KS] was published in Visual Overture Magazine, Spring 2010, as the Cover Design Image, was accepted into Silvershotz International Journal of Fine Art Photography, won Second Place in the Fall Expo 2009 of Infinity Online Art Gallery, and won Third Place in Art Buzz Magazine's International Juried Art Competition.

Faustinus Deraet [Austin] was accepted in the 2010 People's Gallery Exhibition at Austin City Hall.

Aline Smithson [Los Angeles, CA] was nominated as a candidate for the Exellence in Teaching Award 2009 through Center, her blog, Lenscratch was considered as one of the Top Ten Photography-Related Blogs You Should Read by Source Photographic Review, and recently had work in the Intimate View of Southern California exhibition at the Los Angeles Art Show, hosted by the Lucie Foundation.

Chris Burt [Plano] was published in the Window on Texas section in the March issue of Texas Highway Magazine.

John Bridges [Little Rock, AR] had two images selected for F-Stop Magazine's Away From Here theme.

Isa Leshko [Houston] received an Honorable Mention in the 2010 Houston Center for Photography Fellowship Competition, was selected for inclusion in the Portfolio Showcase Volume 4 that will be published by the Center for Fine Art Photography in May, was nominated for a Black and White Spider Award for Outstanding Achievement in Fine Art (professional category), and was recently nominated for a New England Art Award in the Photography category.

James Evans [Marathon] was featured on Stateman.com in an article Photographer finds his niche in Big Bend: James Evans' lens and soul focus on land and people of West Texas.

Kristin Ware [Austin] was included in F-Stop Magazine's Issue #39 Away From Here. www.fstopmagazine.com/groupexhibit.html.

Kay Dentons' [Horseshoe Bay] photograph Dos Manos was the featured image in the Ann Arbor Michigan Newspaper as the travelling exhibition Image Wrought from The Harry Ransom Center is shown at The University of Michigan Museum of Art. She is paired with a 19th century photograph by Charles Dodgson (Lewis Carroll 1874).

Elizabeth Opalenik [Oakland, CA] was featured in Color Magazine and Silvershotz, and her creative process titled Light and Feelings was released in December 2009 and should be posted on the Verve Gallery website.

Photo District News and High Country News are planning a review of Don Kirby's [Santa Fe, NM] Grasslands photographs. The Sierra Club Los Angeles Chapter Camera Committee is also hosting a presentation of the Grasslands photographs on February 8th at the Felicia Mahood Center in West Los Angeles.

Rangefinder Magazine January 2010 issue featured Natalie Young [El Segundo, CA], Forever Natalie Young, and Susan Burnstine [Los Angeles, CA].

Bill Franson [Byfield, MA] has accepted a position as Adjunct Professor in the Art Dept. at Gordon College in Wenham, MA. Also, a collection of 24 prints from his body of work entitled A Nickel and a Kopek was acquired by Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI for their permanent collection.

Lance Keimig [Pembroke, MA] has begun production for his newest book Night Photography: Finding Your Way in the Dark, to be realeased in August 2010. Includes contributions by Dan Burkholder [Palenville, NY], Scott Martin [San Antonio, TX], and Troy and Tom Paiva. You may pre-order you book through Amazon.com.

Stephen Strom [Sonoita, AZ] was recently reviewed by Tuscon Weekly for his Observatories of the Southwest book and Earth Forms was named one of the Best Books in the West 2009 by New West Books & Writers. Stephen was also accepted into PhotoPlace Gallery's Floral show, the Center for Photography at Woodstock's Photography Now, and was awarded Best in Exhibition during the Lishui Photography Festival.

Adrienne Defendi [Palo Alto, CA] and Amanda Stahl [Johnson City] was accepted into the Krappy Kamera XII International Juried Competition during March 2010 at SOHO Photo, New York City.

Angela Bacon-Kidwell [Witchita Falls] is featured in Color Magazine for her series Reveries in the March 2009 issue.

Sean McCormick [Washington, D.C.] recently finished a project for the Washington Post photographing a Day in the Life of Senator Kirsten Gillibrand of New York. The senator is a unique story because she juggles young children at home and the busy life of a US Senator. You can read her story here and view additional photos on Sean's blog.

Richard Skidmore [The Sea Ranch, CA] had two images selected into the juried show Twelve – The Play of Light, shown at Viewpoint Photographic Art Center in Sacramento, CA.

Linda J. Hirsch [Wayland, MA] has started her newest series, Centripetals or layered collages “radiating outward from a central fixed point”.

Natalie Young [El Segundo, CA] had an article about her work in the December issue of Black & White Photography (UK).

Kristin Ware [Austin] will have 3 of her Day of the Dead pictures published in the December issue of Spain's Belio Magazine for the article entitled "Tus Muertos". beliomagazine.com/index.php/products/view/64

Sandra Chen Weinstein [Lake Forrest, CA] has received an Honorable Mention in the Worldwide Photography Gala Awards, 2009 Annual contest, category portrait - people and figure. U.K. and a Finalist in the Gordon Parks International Photo contest, Kansas

Susan Huber [Salt Spring Island, B.C.] donated a print, Grama Grasses (the print that won the HM from the High and Dry 8th- 2008) to Camerawork in San Francisco for their auction being held December 5, 1p.

Meg Birnhaum [Somerville, MA] was invited to attend and exhibit at a photography festival in Lishui, China in November '09, and to have a solo show at Gallery Tantotempo in Kobe, Japan in February 2010. She will have
one of her prints in the winter collection at Wallspace Gallery in Seattle.

Anne Hopkins [Dracut, MA] new portfolio is of a veiling process for a RA-4 C-Print that she discovered with the help of fellow TPS member Mark L. Eshbaugh. Along with the veiling, it is also possible to transfer the dyes to a receptor paper. Both processes are chemical and are from straight prints from negatives and are not digitally manipulated. Raul Yzaguirre School For Success [Houston, TX] and Eisenhower Middle School [Wyckoff, NJ] photo collaboration as a FotoFest International Literacy Through Photography pilot project. houstonwyckoff.blogspot.com. http://literacythroughphotography.fotofest.org. Students are writing about their own images and commenting about their classmates' and other students' images.
